Questions on kayaking in Ardenne
Is Alle-sur-Semois accessible by public
transport (bus, train, ...)?
The Ardenne is unfortunately not well served by public transport (train and bus). The car is your only option to get here and spend a relaxing day kayaking on the Semois.
Is booking necessary?
It's always better to book you kayak in advance especially during the school holidays. At certain weekends, we could have to turn down up to 600 people. You can book your kayak via our website or by phone (0032 61 50 13 87).
When is it necessary to book?
We strongly advise groups to book kayaks 3 to 5 days in advance. Of course, it doesn"t mean that no kayaks will be available if you book the day before, but it's just a precautionary measure. If you have to cancel your booking, please contact us by mail or by phone.
Is it possible to pay by credit card?
Like most of the other shops in the region we don't have a card paying device. The nearest banks are 15 km away so please consider this if you spend your holiday in the Ardenne.
Can you picnic during the kayak route?
During your trip down the river, you can make one or more stops to picnic. There are special picnic areas, small islands and banks. You can also stop in one of the restaurants (Chip shops, pizzerias,...). Please don't forget to pick up your trash when you leave to maintain the sites clean.
